While Erin initially built her career in the Child Welfare and Community Development field, fate had other plans for her creative spirit. Driven by her unwavering passion, she took a leap of faith and returned to school to become an Interior Decorator. Embracing the world of upcycling and Interior Design, Erin poured her heart and soul into her craft, leading to the establishment of her thriving business, Bluebird Upcycle, in just a few short years.

Erin's talent and innovative approach quickly made her a creative force in Ottawa. Recognizing the demand for her expertise, she developed her highly sought-after Masterclasses, empowering clients to embark on their own creative journeys with confidence. Through her workshops, Erin leaves her clients inspired, arming them with the knowledge and skills to transform their spaces through the magic of paint and repurposing.

Not content with confining her influence to her workshops, Erin's ability to captivate and teach extends beyond the classroom. As a skilled teacher, she reaches a wider audience through her captivating blogs, engaging videos, insightful magazine articles, and captivating TV appearances. With her contagious enthusiasm and expert design advice, Erin has graced the screens of CTV Ottawa, Daytime Ottawa, and The Marilyn Denis Show, leaving viewers inspired and ready to embark on their own design adventures.

In 2019, Erin's unwavering dedication and passion culminated in the creation and hosting of her own TV show on Rogers TV, aptly titled "The Thrifty Upcycler." The show's tremendous success has paved the way for an eagerly anticipated second season, where Erin's talent for transforming spaces and lives through upcycling and Interior Design will once again take center stage.
