Holiday Thrift Haul & 5 Tips To Get Holiday Ready.
Decorating for the holidays does not have to break the bank. Thrifting is a great way to find festive decor to get your home holiday ready, without the big expense. I love heading to my local Salvation Army Thrift store to see what I can find. Here are a few of the great finds I found at the thrift store and tips on how you can get ready for the holidays.
Sparkle & Glam
The holidays are the time to step up the sparkle and glam in your home. When looking for decor, make sure to add in some metallics or sparkle to add some visual interest. I found this rose gold glitter reindeer that was perfect for my space.
Add Some Ornaments
I am always on the lookout for new ornaments. They can be used on your tree, added into a holiday centerpiece or layered on a tray to add a festive look.
Holiday Decorating Does Not Have To Be Holiday Themed
Festive decorating doesn’t always have to be holiday themed. Layering decor that you use year round, in colours in white or gold can give a holiday feel. This antelope head was a great find at the thrift store and it was only $14.99! I can keep it in my decor even after the holidays are over and the decorations are put away.
DIY It
I loved the scale of this deer and it is the perfect companion for my rose gold stage but it did not match my theme. A quick DIY using spray paint is so easy and a great way to bring your whole look together. I used some gold glitter spray paint in a well ventilated area to give this deer a more modern, cohesive look.
Mood Lightning
Adding candles into your decor for the holidays is key in giving your space that warm, cozy feel. I found this glass candle holder and sprayed it with glitter spray paint to add some more glam. Pop in a candle and watch it sparkle!
Can you believe that all of this decor was thrifted and was only under $25! Head to your local thrift store and use these tips on how you can get holiday ready without the expense. Happy thrifting!
